Look at the paintings behind him-- it's the H.J. Ward painting of Superman (used on edition C31) and the Wally Fax painting of Batman (used on edition C44). DC sure loved recycling their office art on their Treasury Editions, didn't they?
Does anyone know where this original Ward painting is now? Please contact illomag@gmail.com with any information. I would like to put this in Illustration Magazine. Thanks! Dan Zimmer
